Sourced From the Heart of Bihar
Our sourcing strategy is built around direct relationships with growers and processors in Bihar’s makhana belt — the region best positioned to deliver the quality, volume, and consistency that international buyers need. We evaluate suppliers on grading accuracy, moisture control, hygiene standards, and their ability to meet scheduled volumes, because in a product this delicate, small lapses in any of these areas show up quickly in the final product.
This close-to-source approach also means we can offer flexibility on grade, pop size, packaging, and private-label options as our buyer relationships develop — something that’s harder to do when you’re several layers removed from the actual growers.
Quality and Compliance, Taken Seriously
Makhana is an unforgiving product to get wrong. Moisture content, grading consistency, and handling during transit all directly affect shelf life and quality on arrival. We build quality checks into every stage of sourcing — from raw seed selection through final packing — because we would rather catch a problem at origin than have a buyer catch it at the port.
We are also building our regulatory foundation deliberately and properly: IEC registration, GST, FSSAI licensing, and APEDA’s RCMC for agricultural exports are all part of the compliance stack we are putting in place as we grow.
